Psychology of ice cream

Psychologist Viviana Finestrella, an expert on nutrition issues, has compiled a ranking entitled, "Tell me what ice cream you eat and I will tell you who you are."

THE WAFFLE CONE: chosen by those who prefer a complete sensory experience denying themselves nothing and counting on the security of ultimate fulfillment.

THE STACK: At first glance, the person who eats this type of ice cream is an enterprising person. In reality he is an insecure person, he needs something tangible left, the stick precisely, to play with or even just to hold in his mouth.

THE ICE.: suits an ephemeral and independent personality, preferring a pleasure to be enjoyed immediately. This type of person tolerates little of the frustration of waiting.

THE BISCUIT.: for those who need great reassurance. It is almost the snack prepared by mother: the cookie hints at the need for a surplus of affective nourishment.

THE COUPLE.: usually chosen by the more controlled and measured types. It is the format preferred by those who cannot let go all the way and indulge in pleasure (which sometimes "soils" their hands or clothes), and by those who must maintain good manners, even with themselves.

THE PRALINES.: synonymous with modern personality. It is in fact a hit-and-run choice, characteristic of our times. It is the ice cream of those who like to carry a supply of well-being, a smaller pleasure, not rampant, but repeated over time. Not only the choice, but also the way of enjoying ice cream is a mirror of personality, as explained by psychologist Professor Alessandro Amadori: "There are four possible ways of eating ice cream: licking, sucking, biting, and biting. Those who eat ice cream LICKING are people who enjoy social life, participate very willingly in social settings and like to meet new people. It is the mode of optimists. SUCKING is a more 'childlike' form of licking: the person who eats ice cream this way is probably a person who is very oriented toward intense, almost symbiotic, emotional bonds. Those, on the other hand, who eat ice cream IN BITE tend to be a careful person who does not like to make hasty decisions and is predominantly reflective. Finally, those who eat ice cream AT BIG BITS are stubborn people who want to make their own decisions, like to work, and tend to be very sincere."

The New York Daily News decided to explain what kind of personality we have based on our favorite ice cream flavor (the study refers to the most popular flavors). Ice cream psychology spic and span, ready to melt under the August sun. But anyway, in this heat, you don't want to be reading news stories, do you?

Here, then, is some light-hearted reading. Do it with friends and find out your profile.

CHOCOLATE: lively, charming, seductive. But also prone to drama and particularly provocative

STRAWBERRY: is the taste of faithful, quiet, tolerant people. Great listeners, but also somewhat introverted

STRACCIATELLA: The person who chooses it is a strong, combative and tenacious person. She likes to be prepared in the face of challenges but is also quite self-centered

HAZELNUT: chosen by those who do not like to be the center of attention. Shy but with a big heart : very affectionate and attentive

COFFEE: the taste of perfectionists, thorough, conscientious. Maybe a little fussy, but super reliable!

LEMON: analytical, rational, clear-headed and with high decision-making ability

CREAM: the taste of people who are impulsive and easily influenced. But also dreamy, romantic and idealistic.

And you, which of these are you?
